about ME

I was fortunate to grow up in a very musical family.  At the age of 12, I began studying bluegrass guitar.  By the age of 16 I was studying classical, jazz, and rock music and immersing myself completely in several high school music ensembles as well as local bands.   In 1993 my life changed forever when I received a Fostex 4 track recorder for my high school graduation beginning my lifelong passion for recording and mixing music.

I attended the Berklee College of Music receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production and Engineering.  In 1999 I moved to Los Angeles to work at the famous Village Recording Studios.  It was at the Village that I received my real training working alongside world class engineers on records by artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, James Taylor, Neal Young, Jeff Lynn, Alanis Morrissette, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Melissa Etheridge, Anita Baker, Rickie Lee Jones, Sam Phillips, Lucinda Williams, Mariah Carey, the White Stripes, R.E.M, Keb’ Mo’, and T Bone Burnett to name a few.

In 2006 I became a freelance engineer working almost exclusively for T Bone Burnett.  Since that time I have been fortunate to collaborate on projects with artists such as Willie Nelson, Gregg Allman, John Mellencamp, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Elton John, Leon Russell, and many many more.
